Ystrad Mynach, Glamorgan

Ystrad Mynach is a small town in the Rhymney Valley in Glamorgan. The nearby Penallta Colliery was the last coal mine to close in the valley. Notable buildings and structures include the Ystrad Mynach railway station, opened in 1890, the viaduct and a sculpture to commemorate the areas industrial heritage. The town is within the council area of Caerphilly.
