Y Pigwn, Brecknockshire / Carmarthenshire
Y Pigwn is the site of two superimposed Roman temporary camps on Mynydd Bach Trecatell, lying on the Brecknockshire - Carmarthenshire border. The camps probably date from the Flavian conquest of Wales around AD 74 - 77. The camps enclose the highest point on the Mynydd Bach Trecastle ridge and comprise almost rectangular earthworks with rounded corners. The site is within the council area of Carmarthenshire.
