Woolbeding Estate, Sussex
The Woolbeding Estate is a Georgian house and 20th-century gardens in Woolbeding, Sussex. The house, now a private residence, was a social venue to a wealth of previous residents. The gardens have been developed since 1973 into a stunning horticultural haven under the stewardship of Simon Sainsbury and his partner Stewart Grimshaw, who worked with the famous garden and architectural designers Lanning Roper, the Bannermans, Philip Jebb and Thomas Heatherwick. The estate is in the care of the National Trust. It is within the council area of Chichester (West Sussex).
