Woodvale, Antrim

Woodvale is a suburban area in the north of Belfast, County Antrim. It lies within the townland of Edenderry, in the civil parish of Shankill. Woodvale Park opened in 1888 on land sold to Belfast Corporation by Reverend Glover, the name being that of Reverend's former house on the land. The area around the park was developed over the next few decades, the whole area becoming known as Woodvale. Woodvale is within the council area of Belfast.
