Woodford Wells, Essex

Woodford Wells is a former hamlet that now forms the northern part of the town of Woodford, Essex. The name refers to mineral water wells, the hamlet having briefly been a small spa in the 18th century. The Horse and Well is an 18th-century coaching inn with many original features including a large brick fireplace and beamed ceilings. All Saints Church (1874) was designed by F. E. C. Streatfeild. The area is within the council area of Redbridge.
