Woodford Bridge, Essex
Woodford Bridge is a former hamlet that is now an urban area in Woodford, Essex. Woodford Bridge is the location of the ford over the River Roding from which Woodford is named. The ford was replaced by a bridge by 1238. St Paul's Church, originally built in 1854, was rebuilt after a fire in 1886 in a Neo-Gothic version of the Decorated style. Gwynne House, a neo-classical house, dates from 1816. The area is within the council area of Redbridge.
