Wolstanton, Staffordshire
Wolstanton is a suburban town in Staffordshire. The town, mentioned in Domesday as being the King's land, grew around the Roman road Rykeneld Street. St Margaret's Church, of mediæval origins, was rebuilt in 1623. The churchyard contains the grave of Henry Faulds (184301930), missionary and developer of fingerprinting. The town is within the council area of Newcastle-under-Lyme (Staffordshire).
