Wolf Pit, Yorkshire
Wolf Pit is a prehistoric round barrow on Danby Rigg, Yorkshire, in the North Riding. It survives as a steep sided, 115ft-diameter mound with a 33ft-diameter flat top. The barrow's top has a 23ft-diameter, 5ft deep hollow which is believed to have inspired the name of Wolf Pit. The monument is within the council area of North Yorkshire.
