Winton, Hampshire

Winton is a former village that is now a suburb of Bournemouth, Hampshire. The village was founded around 1850 by philanthropists Georgina and Mary Talbot to provide accommodation for local workers. the village grew quickly and became incorporated into the municipal boundaries of Bournemouth in 1901. It is within the council area of Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole
