Wilsthorpe, Yorkshire
Wilsthorpe is a hamlet in Yorkshire, in the East Riding. Wilsthorpe is a deserted mediæval village to the south of Bridlington. The name has also survived as that of a farm, the only survival of the village. Several cottages were built nearby in the 20th century. In the 21st century the area has become a resort for caravans and static homes. These developments have led to Wilsthorpe now being seen as a present-day hamlet, as well as a deserted village. It is within the council area of East Riding of Yorkshire.
