Whitburn, West Lothian
Whitburn is a small town in West Lothian. Between the 18th and 20th century the town was dominated by mines with the largest being Polkemmet Colliery – which was closed in the 1980s. The town's population was boosted by the 1960s Glasgow overflow. The town is within the council area of West Lothian.
