Whitburn, Durham
Whitburn is a coastal village in County Durham. For much of its history, Whitburn was a fishing and agricultural community. Whitburn windmill, dating from the 18th century, is the oldest surviving of the local stone tower mills. The village is within the council area of South Tyneside.
