Westford, Somerset
Westford is a former industrial village situated to the west of Wellington in Somerset. From the late 18th century, it became an industrial centre with the development of mills along the Westford Stream. Westford Woollen Mills was established by Thomas Elworthy in 1780. The mills finally closed in the 1930s. Westford House served as the home of the Elworthy family during the height of their industrial success. The village is within the council area of Somerset.
