Westbury on Trym, Gloucestershire
Westbury on Trym (or Westbury upon Trym) is a former village that is now a northern suburb of Bristol, Gloucestershire. The earliest reference is to 'Uuestburg' in a charter dated c.793. The Church of the Holy Trinity dates from the 13th century, though the date of the first church on the site may be as far back as 716. The village saw large-scale suburban development from the 1920s though it retains a distinct village identity. It is within the council area of Bristol.
