West Tump, Gloucestershire
West Tump is a Neolithic long barrow in Buckle Wood near Brimpsfield, Gloucestershire. The barrow, one of the so called Cotswold-Severn group, has a mound which measures approximately 160ft long and 10ft high. The barrow was discovered and excavated by G B Witts in 1880. A passage 3ft wide and 6ft long led to the chamber. The chamber was 4ft wide and 15ft long and contained about 20 skeletons. The monument is within the council area of Tewkesbury (Gloucestershire).
