West Green is a former hamlet that is now an urban area in Crawley, Sussex. The hamlet of West Green is first recorded in 1532 and grew up alongside Crawley, 1/4 of a mile to its east. West Green was the first area developed as part of the Crawley new town, building starting in the late 1940s. It is within the council area of Crawley (West Sussex).
