West Ealing, Middlesex

West Ealing (or Ealing Dean) is a former hamlet that is now an urban area in the west of Ealing, Middlesex. A hamlet named West Ealing, later known as Ealing Dean, was recorded in 1234. Ealing Dean's was famous in the 1800s for its pony and donkey races. The area became progressively developed during the 19th and 20th centuries and eventually seen as the western part of the town of Ealing. It is within the council area of Ealing.
