West Barnes, Surrey
West Barnes is an urban area to the south of Wimbledon, Surrey. The name derives from a pair of barns that Merton priory used to store produce from its estate. The settlement was built to the south of the site of the barns, Raynes Park being built on the actual site. West Barnes was developed from the early 20th century but primarily during the inter-war period. It is within the council area of Merton.
