Watford Gap, Staffordshire / Warwickshire
Watford Gap is a hamlet on the border of Staffordshire and Warwickshire. Watford Gap has long been the name of the ancient crossroads of Blake Street and Lichfield Road. Blake Street (le Blakestrete in 1290) was the boundary between the manors of Sutton and Shenstone and remains the county border here. The name can also refer to the 20th-century housing which developed around the crossroad (now a roundabout). It is within the council areas of Birmingham and Lichfield (Staffordshire).
