Washington Village, Durham

Washington Village is an urban area in the new town of Washington, County Durham. It is the original village from which the much larger new town was named. Washington Old Hall is an early 17th-century small English manor house of sandstone. Washington Old Hall was the family home of George Washington's ancestors. The village is within the council area of Sunderland.
