Warwickshire CA, Warwickshire

Warwickshire is a council area which forms the upper tier in a two-tier system of local government. The council area has a significantly different area to the historic county from which it takes its name, primarily because it does not include the major towns and cities in the north-west of the county, including Coventry, Birmingham, Solihull and Sutton Coldfield. There are several other smaller differences between the boundaries of the council area and the historic county, notably at Redditch; Clifford Chambers and Lower Quinton; and Oldberrow.
