MenuWantyn Dyke, Montgomeryshire
Wantyn Dyke is an ancient earthwork ditch which runs roughly south to north-north-west for about two miles to the west of Sarn in southern Montgomeryshire. The monument consists of the remains of a cross-dyke, a defensive boundary or earthwork, dating to the later prehistoric or early mediæval period. It consists of a bank with a ditch on the western side. The entire length is in variable condition, owing to centuries of degradation from the plough. The most southerly section of the dyke forms a shallow ditch and bank across the fields. The monument is within the council area of Powys.
