Wantyn Dike, Montgomeryshire
Wantyn Dyke is an ancient earthwork ditch which runs roughly south to north-north-west for about two miles to the west of Sarn in southern Montgomeryshire. The monument consists of the remains of a cross-dyke, a defensive boundary or earthwork, dating to the later prehistoric or early mediæval period. It consists of a bank with a ditch on the western side. The entire length is in variable condition, owing to centuries of degradation from the plough. The section immediately to the north and south of the A489 runs along a trackway. The monument is within the council area of Powys.
