Wallend, Essex
Wallend (or Wall End) is a former hamlet that is now an urban area in the east of East Ham, Essex. It was the ‘end’ (outlying part) of East Ham, where an embankment prevented the River Roding from flooding. Most of the area was built up between 1880 and 1910. The area is within the council area of Newham.
