Wakehurst Place, Sussex

Wakehurst Place is a late 16th-century mansion near Ardingly, Sussex. The mansion was built by Sir Edward Culpeper in 1590. It is owned by the National Trust, though leased to the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew. The gardens were largely created by Gerald Loder from 1903-1936. The estate is within the council area of Mid Sussex (West Sussex).
