MenuVindobala, Northumberland
Vindobala was a Roman fort on Hadrians Wall in Northumberland. It was the fourth fort along the wall after Segedunum (Wallsend), Pons Aelius (Newcastle) and Condercum (Benwell). It was situated about seven miles to the west of Condercum. The fort itself covers an area of about 4½ acres, measuring 515 feet north-south by 385 feet east-west. Little remains of it. It is within the council area of Northumberland.
