Upper Lough Erne, Fermanagh
Upper Lough Erne is a large, freshwater lough in County Fermanagh. It is formed from a widened section of the River Erne, which flows north-west onto Lower Lough Erne and thence into the Atlantic. The lough has many islands. The town of Enniskillen lies on the short stretch of river between the two loughs. The lough is popular for angling and boating. The lough is within the council area of Fermanagh and Omagh.
