Upper Edmonton, Middlesex

Upper Edmonton is a former hamlet that now forms the southern part of Edmonton, Middlesex. It developed around the crossroads of Fore Street with Silver Street/Watery Lane (now the North Circular). In the 19th century, ribbon development along Fore Street joined it with Lower Edmonton. Angel Place is a terrace of early 18th-century buildings, formerly adjacent to the now demolished Angel public house. Upper Edmonton is within the council area of Enfield.
