The Union Suspension Bridge (aka Union Chain Bridge) is an early 19th-century (1820) wrought iron suspension bridge across the River Tweed near Horncliffe, linking Berwickshire and Northumberland. Erected on behalf of the Berwick and North Durham Turnpike Trust, it was the first road suspension bridge in Britain and is the oldest still carrying road traffic. It is within the council area of The Scottish Borders.
