Ullapool (Scottish Gaelic: Ulapul) is a fishing village in the Coigach and Summer Isles exclave of Cromartyshire, locally in Ross-shire. It lies on the shores of Loch Broom on the west coast of the Scottish highlands. Despite its small size, Ullapool is the largest settlement for many miles around, and is a major tourist destination. The North Atlantic Drift passes by Ullapool, bringing moderate temperatures. The harbour is the heart of the town, used as a fishing port, yachting haven, and ferry port. The village is within the council area of Highland.
