Twinbrook is a suburban area, sometimes considered part of the larger suburban town of Dunmurry, County Antrim. It is also considered an outer suburb of Belfast. It lies within the townland of Killeaton, in the civil parish of Derryaghy. The area remained largely rural until the late 1970s since when it has seen much housing development, being made up of numerous small estates. The Twinbrook area is within the council area of Belfast.
