Twickenham Park, Middlesex

Twickenham Park is a suburb of Twickenham, Middlesex. The area began to be developed in the 19th century on the former Twickenham Park House estate. Major developments followed in the 20th century, particularly in the 1930s. In June 1263, Twickenham Park was the site of the Encampment of the Barons, where Simon de Montfort’s rebellious noblemen held a conference with the King that sowed the seeds for England’s first true Parliament. It is within the council area of Richmond upon Thames.
