Tretower Castle, Brecknockshire

Tretower Castle is a ruined 12th-century castle in Tretower, Brecknockshire. It was founded as a motte-and-bailey castle by Picard, a follower of Bernard de Neufmarché, and expanded by his descendants. The castle fell into disuse following the construction in the 14th century of Tretower Court. It is in the care of Cadw. It is within the council area of Powys.
