Treago, Herefordshire

Treago (aka Treago Castle) is a fortified manor house near St Weonards, Herefordshire. It is believed to have been built around 1500 by Sir Richard Mynors. The original building featured a central courtyard and no externally facing windows. Later, the courtyard area was covered over and new windows added to the outside walls, forming a more traditional house. The surrounding parkland was probably landscaped during the late 18th century. The house is within the council area of County of Herefordshire.
