Trafford Park, Lancashire

Trafford Park is an urban area in Stretford, Lancashire. It was the ancestral home of the Trafford family until 1896. Following its sale to financier Ernest Terah Hooley, it was transformed into the first planned industrial estate in the world. It remains the largest industrial estate in Europe. It is within the council area of Trafford.
