Town Bridge, Dorset

Town Bridge is a 16th-century six-arch stone bridge across the River Stour at Sturminster Newton, Dorset. Sturminster Newton is situated at a historic fording point on the River Stour. In the 16th century, the ford was replaced by the bridge along with and a 1,000ft-long embankment crossing the flood plain. The bridge was widened in 1820. It is within the council area of Dorset.
