Towcester is a small town in Northamptonshire. It stands on Watling Street and is the site of the Roman town of Lactodorum. Towcester is famous for Towcester Racecourse, originally part of the Easton Neston estate on the east side of the town. The town is within the council area of West Northamptonshire.
