Tow Law, Durham
Tow Law is a town in County Durham. The name "Tow Law" is from the Old English tot hlaw meaning "lookout hill". The earlier village grew into a town during the mid 19th century after the Weardale Iron and Coal Company was established here. The town is within the council area of County Durham.
