Tonypandy, Glamorgan
Tonypandy is a town in Glamorgan, lying in the Rhondda Fawr valley. A former industrial coal mining town, the town was the scene of the 1910 Tonypandy riots. Mynydd Y Gelli is an Iron Age burial site on the mountain of the same name above Tonypandy. The town is within the council area of Rhondda Cynon Taf.
