Tipton Green, Staffordshire
Tipton Green is a former village that now forms that central area of the town of Tipton, Staffordshire. It was heavily developed for industry and housing during the 19th century. The Fountain Inn is a 19th-century public house, once the headquarters of prize fighter William Perry (1819-188), known as "The Tipton Slasher". St Matthew's Church was built in 1876. It is within the council area of Sandwell.
