Timperley, Cheshire
Timperley is a suburban village in Cheshire. Based on its name, the village is believed to have originated in the 7th or 8th century. The opening of the Bridgewater canal encouraged the development of market gardening in the area. The coming of the railways speeded Timperley's development as a residential suburb. It is within the council area of Trafford.
