Thorpe le Glebe, Nottinghamshire
Thorpe le Glebe is a deserted mediæval village in Nottinghamshire.Enclosure of the land took place in 1491 and the village was depopulated by 1534. The church tower was still standing in 1810, but by 1844 only overgrown ruins remained. Remaining earthworks of the village are still evident and surround the Church Site farm. The village is laid out along a main street with enclosures or tofts along both sides. It is within the council area of Rushcliffe (Nottinghamshire).
