Thornton Heath, Surrey

Thornton Heath is a large Victorian suburb to the north of Croydon, in Surrey. Following the arrival of the railway in 1862, Thornton Heath developed from a rural area to large northern suburb of Croydon, in many respects a town in itself. It is within the council area of Croydon.
