Thieves Dikes, Yorkshire
Thieves Dikes is a group of five prehistoric linear boundaries situated in Broxa Forest near Silpho, Yorkshire, in the North Riding. The scale of such linear boundaries, believed to date from the Bronze Age, has been taken to indicate that they were constructed by large social groups and were used to mark important boundaries in the landscape. The monument is within the council area of North Yorkshire.
