Thelwall, Cheshire

Thelwall is a suburban village in Cheshire. Thelwall lay on the south bank of the old course of the River Mersey and now lies on the south bank of the Manchester Ship Canal. The village gives its name to the Thelwall Viaduct which carries the M6 motorway across the Ship Canal and the Mersey. It is within the council area of Warrington.
