The White House, Down

The White House is a ruined 17th-century house in the townland of Ballyspurge, County Down. This site was probably built by Patrick Savage in the 1640's and is typical of the gabled houses which began to supplant the tower-house at that time. It is enclosed in a bawn or courtyard, of which little now remains. The monument is in the care of the Department for Communities. The monument is within the council area of Ards and North Down.
