The Weir, Herefordshire
The Weir is a late 18th-century country house and riverside garden near Kenchester, Herefordshire. The garden, alongside the River Wye, covers 10 acres and was the creation of its prior owner, Roger Parr, and his head gardener, William Boulter. The garden includes the ruins of a Roman temple possibly associated with a high-status Roman villa. The house is in private hand, though the garden is in care of the National Trust. It is within the council area of County of Herefordshire.
