The Village, Antrim

The Village is an urban area in south-west Belfast, County Antrim. It is within the townland of Malone Lower, in the civil parish of Shankill. The area, between the Blackstaff River the the railway line, was developed in the early 20th century. The name "The Village" is said to have been given to the area by American G.I.s during World War II. The Village is within the council area of Belfast.
