The Temple, Down

The Temple (often known just as 'Temple') is a hamlet in County Down. It is within the townland of Carricknaveagh, in the civil parish of Killaney. The hamlet developed in the 19th century around the crossroads (now a roundabout) of the roads from Saintfield to Lisburn (B6) and from Ballynahinch to Carryduff (A24). The village is within the council area of Lisburn and Castlereagh.
