The Ridge, Yorkshire
The Ridge is an ancient linear earthwork, part of the Aberford Dykes earthworks, located north-west of Aberford, Yorkshire, in the West Riding. The Aberford Dykes lie north and south of Cock Beck with the modern village of Aberford at their approximate centre. The dykes are believed to have even been constructed during the Roman period or the early post-Roman period. The Ridge is visible as a substantial earthwork. The monument is within the council area of Leeds.
